Corporate Finance

The HEC Corporate Finance office is launching cycles of interviews with personalities of the economic, financial and business world on current issues. The first cycle is on the subject “Are all financial activities socially useful”.
The first interview with Marc Fiorentino (H.82), Chairman of EuroLand Finance, is here. He gives his vision of the new order which must be put in place in the banking sector. To be kept informed about the next interviews: Enrol in the group!

ONLINE APPOINTMENT ON 22 MARCH AT 18:45!

On 22 March at 18:45, Pascal Quiry (H.84), who is behind the famous Vernimmen book, and Managing Director at BNP Paribas Corporate Finance & Investment Banking, will give a conference on the issue of the impact of the liquidity crisis on the valuation of companies. HEC shares its knowledge on iTunes U

HEC has created its area on iTunes U thus becoming the first French business school to put audio and video academic content on iTunes's free educational site. HEC is thus joining a limited number of international institutions who have chosen to share their expertise and know-how with as many people as possible. HEC has made some very interactive lessons available on iTunes U, as well as a selection of podcasts specifically designed for the site.

HEC and Tsinghua launch an international competition

Organised by HEC Paris and Tsinghua SEM Beijing for the Shanghai 2010 Universal Expo, the 2010 Shanghai Prize will reward the best projects in the competition on the theme of “Entrepreneurship and the Sustainable City”. This competition is open to students from business, engineering, architecture and town planning schools, as well as young entrepreneurs who have graduated within the last three years. Candidatures will take the form of teams of 3 people from the same school or university. Deadline for applications: 30 April 2010 at 12:00 (Paris time). The winners of the competition will be presented with their prizes during a gala event organised by the School, the Association and the Foundation, on Thursday 15 July at the Shanghai Grand Theatre.

ISF: now is the time to give!

If you pay the ISF solidarity tax, 75% of your donation (up to €50,000) to the HEC Foundation is ISF tax deductible. You can make a deductible donation up until the deadline for your tax return, namely 15 June. For example: if you pay €1,000 in ISF, you can make a donation of €1,333 and reduce your ISF amount to zero! A fiscal receipt will be sent to you by the HEC Foundation.
