Jean d’Arthuys (H.91) re-elected President of the HEC Alumni Association

The HEC Alumni Association has re-elected Jean d’Arthuys (H.91) as Chairman of HEC Alumni at its annual general meeting held Thursday, June 7. Jean d’Arthuys, 44, is since June 2010, managing Director and member of the Executive Board of the FSI (Fonds Stratégique d’Investissement) in charge of investment. Prior to this, he was a Partner of PAI Partners investment fund from 2007 to 2010, in charge of the media, internet and telecom sectors. He spent most of his career within the Executive Board of the media Group M6, where he had various executive functions from 1996 to 2007.

Guillaume Poitrinal (H.89), Chairman of the Management Board and CEO of Unibail-Rodamco, received the HEC of the Year Award on the occasion of the General Assembly. The Prize of the HEC Alumni Association is awarded annually by a jury composed of members of the community (HEC Campus, Association, Foundation and students), as well as media partners. It recognizes executives, for the past year, for their outstanding career, the strong news of their business or institution, and their commitment to the HEC community.


The new Committee members

In accordance with Article 6 of the Association’s by-laws, one third of the Committee, composed of 24 HEC graduates, is elected every year at the general meeting. Nine positions were filled this year, in alphabetical order: Jean d’Arthuys (H.91), Emmanuel Chain (H.85), Sylvie Chamberlin (H.85), Laurent Didier (H.79), Elodie Gaussarès (H.03), Stanislas Guérini (H.06), Pierre Jenny (H.84), Sophie Mouterde (H.88) and Jean-Pierre Poncier (E.82).

The main highlights of the General Assembly

We will have the opportunity to go into detail on all of the General Assembly in the next issue of the Hommes & Commerce magazine, here are the highlights:
- The Association will use a new name: HEC Alumni.
- The new logo was introduced (see on the left).
- The basic rate of contribution to the Association remains unchanged for 2013 (155 euros), and new offerings were presented.
- The HEC JF will be part of the Association on January 1rst 2013.
- The Association’s by-laws will also be modified to limit to three the full successives mandates to the Committee.
- The Association will be present from the 1st September on Campus.
